Hi, I know that the current bdw system kinda works, however it has several flaws. It happened to me quite a lot of times, that our team (or even the opposite) had only 1 priest and 5 warriors, while the other team had at least 1 rogue and/or mage. When there are those two teams against each other, there is on the beginning of the bdw certain winner (because only debuffers join bdw, because it is much more tactical solution). In such case warriors attack with subside all the time and priest has time only to cure himself most of the time and this is the cause of inbalance between the teams, because the archer on the opposite usually plays full cc.

My solution to such problem is to teleport 1 priest (as it is now) and 1 rogue. It would ensure some at least some balance between the teams to certain extent. This solution has, however, a drawback, that there would be no bdw in more times than there is now. Please give it a discussion. Thank you for your concern.

good points!

I am also not happy with the current BDW system and made some suggestions about it
as you can see in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=117&t=44826

But like you said...the current system "kinda works".

To take at least 1x Priest + 1x Rogue seems a good minimum requirement.

What do you think about a 5 vs 5 BDW?
Wouldnt this be better than the current 6 vs 6 system?

--------------------edit------------

We might add a check to BDW NPC that will only allow Int Priests to register.
Cause usually if a BP registers its a 80% = loose for this Party
(10% chance that the other Party might also have a BP  )
(and 10% chance that the other party might be really unlucky...)

I am not sure that I fully understand your system. In my view it would be that one room would be 4 people and other room could have 7 people? This is the major flaw in your suggestion. However, if you would clarify your idea (I guess if there are enough people to create p.e. 3 rooms instead of 2 with the right classes, like 1priest+ 3melees vs. 2. priest vs 4 melees + "bp out"), it would be great.

About your suggestion 5 vs 5. It would be much better for priest + 4 warriors, however this selection would make it almost impossible (if there are no pros in a party) to kill a priest. A good priest can stay alive with only 4 attackers, if he has decent gear and skill, so current system works in this way. And I must say that 6 vs 6 is quite a good compromise between "small server" and party vs party with one priest. So I think that my suggestion to add 1 rogue to criteria to create a room is efficient enough to create balance between two parties.

BTW I wrote this drunk, so sorry for typos... :D :D

in my system ofc it would be same amount of people on both sides
but its a flexible system

depending on how many people register it will create the party.
Minimum would be 1 Priest + 4 attackers each side
Maximum would be the 8 vs 8 with 2 Priests + 6 attackers.

But ofc the system will make orc/human sides equal!

------------
Anyway...as a first step, we added a "strength" check to the BDW register NPC.
So both sides will now have an Int Priest in BDW.

The "1x Rogue requirement" is a bit more complicated - but we still think about it.
