Lately I have been thinking alot about the server. And I wanna share my ideas with the staff members and with the players as well. Goodluck reading all this. Feel free to skip it as well.

Current state of the game

First I wanna talk about the current state of the game. For my opinion the game is fine. Here and there it needs some changes. I've heard some people complaining about the GM staff. Not only that I also think the server is in a bad spot. There are alot of visual bugs. Because of this people are complaining about it. The only way to delete those visual bugs you need to upgrade the version to 17xx. We will talk about this later in the topic.

GM staff

Like I said above, people are complaining about the staff. They are totally right about it. Most of the staff are currently inactive. And for a server to run good, you need GM's to be active. Not only GM's but also the admin needs to be active. We understand that Flegy is busy with the server. But us as players never see him in game. And it is also important to be active in game for adverticement as admin.

For example 1 big clan left (I'm not gonna say names) because the GM staff is bad. And I kinda agreed to it. I won't say I'm better but this really needs to change. Luckily for Flegy there was Covid-19 that brought alot of players back to the game. But for everthing has an end so also for Covid-19. That means players wont have time for play. But if you make it more challenging for the players they will enjoy the server more. And they will stay for play even tho they are busy they will make time for it.

Version of the server

Let's talk about the visual bugs. Those bugs can only be fixed by upgrading the server to 17xx. Currently the server is 12xx. In this version you have alot of bugs as you can see. So the only solution is to upgrade the server. This is not that easy. Flegy has some options if he wants to upgrade it.

Option number 1:
He can make a whole wipe with items and all gone. This means we need to start over again. But the server will be 17xx.

Option number 2:
Flegy can also copy the data of the server and paste it on a 17xx version. This sounds easy but Flegy needs to remake the Legends sets and make 85 skill etc.

Personally I think option number 2 is the best for everyone. But this means Flegy needs to close the server for a while and transfer everything to 17xx. This is not easy like I said. It is actually really hard. Flegy needs to remake almost every event, needs to remake armor, skills, weapons and so on. But the benefit of all this work will be appreciated. Because there will be no Visuals bugs like Snowball bug or S+W bug or the most populaire one ALT+CTRL+DELTE+W.

Upgrading the server to 17xx is not free ofcourse. It will cost the server alot of money to be honest. And the question is: Does Flegy wants to upgrade it. This alternative is with Flegy. I just wanna give me idea and let you guys understand why there are visual bugs.

My ideas to improve the server

So ofcourse everybody has his own idea about the server. So here I have mine too. Feel free to disagree or adjust the ideas more.

System

So basically I've came up with this idea because of Jouza. His idea was making seasons. And I found this idea really good and Original! How does this work? Well read futher.

How does the season system work?

Every 3 months there will be a new season. This is mainly meant for monthly points. Because most players don't want Nps wipe. Now we have a monthly ranking. We can change that to Season ranking. So we have 3 months to get number 1. Also every season we can make something special with an event. For example the first season there will be CSW every 2 weeks. In season number 2 there will be 8v8 event. With this idea I want to make clear that we can make every season different. It is also an idea to make some weapons in every season stronger or weaker. With this you will create a Meta. This means to be strong and able to kill all you need to follow the Meta. This is also great for the merchant market and the value of "noob" items.

Well then we have the next subject King. With the idea of Seasons we can make every season a new king! My idea was to make the number 1 of Season ranking the king for the next season. This will prefent inactive kings.

To succeed al of this you need really good staff members but also a good active admin. Because you want to make every season different. It's really hard to do that because you need many people help the admin balance everything out. As you guys know GM_Anduin made all items balanced. To make this idea we need someone like Anduin again.

Items

Armor

For the next subject I wanna talk about items. First of al Anduin did a great job balancing all out. But there is a problem that doesn't feel right. Hero Valk and Legend. For some reason Legend is alot expensiever then Valk and Hero. My idea to fix this is to make a set bonus to every set. This means every set has his own strength and weaknesses. Take a look a Dragon Flight set. This set is made for HP and damage but has low deffense. And I think that is great because you need that in a server. Back to my idea. For example Legend set. Give this set resistance for flame, ice, light etc. For Hero you can give it alot of HP and deffense. You can make it whatever you want. If you make every set different you have to delete the different sets for warrior HP and rouge HP. For BP and paper Mage you can make a special set with Valk. And then Hero/Legend will be for INT Mage and Priest. Keep aware this is just an idea. Everything can still change.

Weapons

My next idea is about weapons. The colloured weapons are a good touch to the server. But we are missing like 1 extra series of weapons. On the old MaxKO this was Hero. I understand you dont wanna bring Hero back again. This can be any serie of weapons. Just take a look at other servers. Look at those weapons and change it abit. Change the name, the way they look and the stats. This will give players more choice to play with. And with that players can create their own build of items and show everybody their knowledge.

Accessory

Like I said above give players a choice to play whatever they want and let it still be strong. On this subject especially because there is like only 1 good set. If you make different kinda of sets it is more fair for "new" players or even rich players to challenge them to farm or pk more.


The ending

The server, Fadl, suffers a lot of time from bad employees who have no experience dealing with players and problems. In the other Servers, friends Talk to me about the MAXKO, bored of employees and bad events

you can be thinking well in these ideas, we are players who consulted with each other and we play can seeing what is best for us,

Im agree just with the client upgrade about the rest depend of a poll of all active players but:

1. Flegy dont want upgrade he says that new clients sucks idk why he never explain me that part

2. The database is easy to put in a new client, the unique problem that i see or probably im wrong is all the skills, items and item edition that Flegy made for his server probably he have to put 1 by 1 again same that the lv cap 85, idk if is a hard job

P.D. I think that the constantly edition of items and skills have to be reset to the default and just with the MAXKO items Flegy will play with editions (hero, chaos, bloody and maxko jewels)

First i must said that all suggestions are welcome.

I personally enjoy reading suggestions because i feel that we need a change on server.
Upgrading the server to a new version is something that wont happen, at least that's what Flegy told me in our last dialogue about this.

Those complains about MAXKO staff are more commonly from players with bad behavior or cheaters who get caughted. If one or two of them get banned, they will lure their friends.
As a player my only complain in the past was those cheaters, and as fasr i as rememnber i never had any other complain.

But all this doens't mean that we can't improve our current server. At least i will like to see a diferent Ronark Land, new Bosses, change some drops, add Chaos Stone on bowl and a couple of new events.... Castle Siege War and Deathmatch maybe?

Hero weapons might be add in the future, meanwhile maybe we can give a diferent look or bonus to all Chaos Weapons?

I'm also will like to see an increase on stats to all Legend Armors (probably Flegy will disagree on this).

Most important who will do all this work... for free!

About the GMs
It always has been a weak point in any privat server! (and even on USKO)
Since GMs dont get paid...they just get some monthly KC,
its more like a volunteer job.
Its hard to find people that are trustable, reasonable (have a life), active, love the game - but dont love it to much...you know what I mean
Those people that are to ambitious about their gameplay/ ranks etc... are usually very bad
(and corrupt) GMs.

I also see that GM activity is quite unbalanced thats why I suggested a GM time schedule in my suggestion topic - but I guess thats not gonna happen
check the solved/closed section, than you see that GMs do work


about server version
as you mentioned, there has been many changes and adjustments in Armors, weapons, stats and skills in 2016 - 2018.
Some of them you can see here: whats-going-on-t41745
But there is some limits with the current server version...
Thats why I agree with you, that it is time for the server to move on to a 17xx version.
Cause all this glitching became a real pain on the server lately.
At least I find it very annoying!
MaxKO staff started to ban people for this.
But that aint a real solution....cause it should be fixed server side
and not by punishing people!

about season system
im not so convinced by this
but maybe Jouzu can explain a little more

tbh I would love to see a full monthly or yearly NP reset!
That would encourage more new players to join.
But there should be more options to spend the monthly NP.
and it would require changes in the clan rank systems.

about item changes
for jewels it is already a very balanced system.
Since jewels are not so OP on MaxKO
can go pk with dual ROV, and jewels+1
the increase in stats between +1 to +3 jewels isnt a big thing.
A good Rogue with +1 jewels will still beat any average Rogue with +3 jewels

I like your point with the variety of items and builds.
I already see different kind of builds and weapons on warriors and sins.
Warrior for example: Mix of DF and Valk str or Valk HP
with C Axe for vs or TSword or C Spear or Duals...even HB is a good option.
It would be good if people switch those weapons more situational.

+1 to a change in Armors.
Legend armors could be AP focused
Valks for more HP
Hero for more defense/resist
DF/Mythril could be even more paper like

banning is just starting another problem which losing players.
you ban 1 player, 10 more player will do the same thing.
unless you dare to make a change.
even the smallest 1, ie. delete the snowball from db.
it might look unnecessary, but actually it did prevent even a bit.
rather than saying 'why you buy to glitch, abusing the use of it',
then you start banning player, more and more, until when?

you have good ideas but lets talk about is server gets wipe, how many ppl gonna left maxko ?

i farmed and get full gear in corona days,just started to working now.
do u think ppl gonna farm to go full gear? if you,gm's and admin thinking like this
this idea is wrong no one can farm to go full gear and actually me and who thinks like me goes another servers.i haven't got enough time to farm any items now.

i know some ppl talking about like that but for example Astra playing maxko long long time.he is 1st at np if server gets wipe and removes all nps items they gonna play in maxko? i think no !

PS : i said before and i hope i dont change my mind at future. This is totaly free service for us thx for it to fleggy and thx for all staff gm's are very kind and they all coriuous about our problems.

I think many players, and even those who commit it, don't have a clear definition of what "Glitch" means:
Glitch / Bugs are system errors that developers couldn't fixed or didn't notice. "Glitching" give an unfair advantage over other players and this is a reason for BAN. It's just matter of common sense to NOT DO THIS because you will be tagged as "Cheater"

Back on what we can do with our current server, the season idea it's just great and this could lead to a reset of NP's at the end of each season.

I guess I didnt say it like this

But its true that I think a server wipe never makes sense
if there isnt big changes going along with it.
Else we will be in the same spot again quickly.

But Im at a point where I would really like to see the server step up to a 17xx or 18xx version. I dont like newer server versions and I would try to keep MaxKO maps and items similar to the current system.
But I think the server could greatly benefit in security and bugs/ glitches.
